In the final section of Matthew's description of Jesus' ministry through miracles, he groups together those demonstrations of divine authority and power that will later be used by Jesus to answer the question: Are you The One or do we look for another? (11:3). In so doing, Matthew continues his primary theme in the first half of his biography of Jesus: Jesus of Nazareth is the promised Messiah!
