One of our main goals as a ministry to kids is to support parents as the primary disciplers of their children. In our weekend Grace Kids classes the truth of God's Word is talked about in age appropriate ways. These questions are designed to help you extend the weekend lesson from church and engage in conversation with your kids. If you have questions or suggestions, please let us know.

Bible Passage: Nehemiah 1-6

Abstract: One of the most important rules for Ancient society is having walls! Wall's provided protection for its people and a central location for community. After the destruction of Jerusalem, Israel lost their sense of protection and identity because of the ruined Temple and wall. As Israel began rebuilding the Temple, God called Nehemiah to return to Jerusalem from Artaxerxes service to rebuild the Wall. After much opposition from ruler's, armies and authorities, Nehemiah completed the walls in such a short period of time! All the surrounding peoples knew that it was God's hand that helped them complete it when everything was going against them! God gave Israel their physical sense of protection once again, yet God was the ultimate protection for them the entire time, just like how He is our protection from sin and death.
