Reaching Kids With His Message

Mission Statement

Saturday and Sunday School exist to teach and train children about the wonderful God who loves them, cares for them, and desires their obedience. As we seek to partner with parents in watching the Lord change the lives of children, we desire that Saturday and Sunday School be the foundational arena for ministering to kids here at Grace. We strive to provide a warm, exciting environment for kids to learn the Word of God. This is a year-round ministry involving many volunteers pouring their lives into the children. The children hear Bible stories, play games, and participate in craft activities in order to help them apply the Biblical Truth they are studying. We are thankful to the Lord for allowing us the opportunity to influence so many young lives for His glory.

Curriculum

Our primary goal in the classroom is to ensure that each child is taught faithfully from the Word of God. We believe it is the source for all godly living, and because of this we desire to teach the Word well. This means presenting God’s Truth in a way that helps kids apply it to their lives.

In order to have a systematic plan for teaching the Bible to kids, we have chosen two sets of curriculum that help provide the proper biblical training. We use Gospel Light on Saturdays at 5:30 and Sundays at 10:45, and we use David C. Cook at 7:00 on Saturdays and 9:00 Sundays. Both of these curriculums help our teachers prepare the Bible lessons, activities, and games for the classroom. The curriculum also provides take home information for the parents in order to stimulate discussion within families.

Kids’ Time

	Kids’ Time exists to teach 4th through 6th grade students the truth of God’s Word, to prepare them for their teenage years, and to equip them to be spiritually active today. At 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, children in 4th through 6th grade are invited to attend Kids’ Time, an action-packed, fun-filled program in which children are taught about Christian living through songs and skits along with hands-on activities. Children will have the opportunity to learn rich Bible truths through lessons drawn from God’s Word. This program will help to provide a foundation of spiritual knowledge that will assist in equipping children to follow Jesus Christ.

SWARM - Skits With A Redeeming Message

Saturday Night SWARM is a once a month large group gathering, during both Saturday services, that features high energy worship, skits, games and more.

Ministry Opportunity

It is a privilege to minister to so many children each weekend. Effectively caring for and teaching children requires a number of volunteers every week. As we strive to continue improving the ministry to children at Grace, we always need more people.
