Recent ministry in El Salvador has put us in
touch with a Christian orphanage in Sal Salvador,
and our team this year will reach out to the
children and the staff of this orphanage. Vacation
Bible School will be a main focus of this ministry,
and computer help will be included in order
to upgrade the systems in the office.

Greetings from El Salvador,
We got to LAX very early (around 6:30pm). We were the first ones in line to check in, so it was a breeze.
We were about to take off when the captain informed us that there was a problem with the fuel pump and that our flight would be delayed until personnel came to take care of the anomaly. Were were supposed to leave at 11:15pm and ended up taking off at 1:20am on Monday, August 3rd.
We got to the hotel around 9:15AM; rested for about and hour and then went to the orphanage. We met the children, chatted some and started to put their new beds together. We finished assembling the beds in two of the four houses- the day was productive. We were sleepy, sweaty, and smelly but it was a joyful experience to see the smiling faces of the children at the orphanage. We left the orphanage at 6:15pm.
The team ate dinner at the hotel and prepared everything for the next day (it is 10:30PM-time to go sleep)
Tuesday, August 5th
We were up at 5:30AM, had our team devotions at 6:30am, ate breakfast at 7:am. We arrived at exodo (the orphanage) at 9:00am.
The children did some arts and crafts work, and we started the vacation bible school, had a computer training session, and assembled the new beds for the remaining two houses. We played soccer for an hour (Moses House vs. Samuel house). Samuel house won 5-3. I was in the Moses house and all the children had a lot of fun.
We left "Exodo" around 6:30pm.

Wednesday, August 6
Again, we got up at 5:30AM, had a devotion at 6:30am, and had breakfast at 7:am. We arrived at Exodo at 9:00 am.
The children did some arts and crafts work, had their Bible study, a second session of computer training, played soccer for an hour (Moses House vs. Samuel house). Moses house won 10-3. The children are looking forward to tomorrow's game because the house that wins will receive a trophy.
We left "Exodo" around 5:20pm.
it is 10:56PM. Ana, Susy, and David are preparing all the materials for tomorrow (guess what I am doing).
This is such a privilege that the Lord has granted to us being able to come and serve these children. It is awesome to see how happy they are that some one cares about them. They are very, very happy with their new beds.
Thank you for sending us.
Blessings from above,
