There are many opportunities for ministry in this Central American country. Our team will come alongside Iglesia Central Mission Centro-Americana, one of the oldest and most well-respected churches in San Salvador, the Capital of El Salvador. Grace's team will help this church impact the city with the gospel. The trip will include evangelistic outreach on a local college campus, as well as in several neighborhoods where church plants are planned. Children's ministry, sports outreach and medical ministries are all possibilities, as well as training for local pastors and their wives.

Hello again!!!
Just wanted to let you know that we are all doing great! Today was the last day of our missions week in El Salvador and it ended wonderfully, we went to the Evangelical University and was able to share the Gospel and many accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour. The seminars that my dad and myself had to give went beautifully, it was a little exhausting for me to give it 4 times in a row but definetly well worth it.
Yesterday and the day before yesterday we were at the orphanage Exodo. On Wednesday we took most of the day to paint the homes. Our ideal was to paint all 4 houses but we miscalculated on the proportions of each house ( which ARE BIG!! ) so we were only able to finish one!!! but we left them all the paint and tools and they felt very blessed to for us to have donated the paint since it is very expensive. We decided to provide lunch both days for the kids and the staff so we could make lunch time an ice-breaker and get to know them a little better, and it worked. The second day we were there solely to focus on the kids and the foster parents. We had games and prizes and a fiesta all prepared for them when they got home from school. We also provided "beauty" treatments to the girls like straightening their hair, brushing their hair, and doing their nails. They absolutly loved it!! It was heart-breaking to know that most of these kids have been there for a long time and were sad to see us go, some of them refused to say good-bye and were crying as we left the orphange.
Well we are now about to enjoy some refreshments and cake and prepare for our departure tomorrow evening. I hope all is well back home!!!
See you all in a couple of days!!!

We are extremely overwhelmed with the response of the people from the places we visited and are truly in awe of the power of God. We feel priviledge and honored to be the vessels God has chosen to help those in need and share the Gospel with them.
We are looking forward to see what God will do in the up and coming days and are ready and willing. Thank you everyone who have been praying for us since the beginning and are continuing to pray for us still.
We ministered at 3 medical clinics, with over 1730 people coming. There were 855 medical patients and 550 dental patients. We were able to share the gospel with 1066 of them and saw 683 decisions to follow Christ, 230 being children.

The El Salvador team (and all their luggage) has arrived in country and ready to begin their ministry. After some glitches at the airport during departure all team members were on the flight and the flight was uneventful.
Continue to pray as they are settling into their hotel rooms, trying to get some rest and will begin their ministry later today. |
