Description of Ministry
In Grace Baptist Church worship ministries our belief is that
we can best glorify the Lord by developing a lifestyle of
worship, both collectively and individually. That leads us
to structure our ministries toward the development of peoples’
hearts for God. As we learn to grow in our love for God above
all things in our private and corporate worship times, a love
for God’s people and a love to proclaim His message
are the fruitful results.
With four services a week, there are plenty of opportunities
for involvement and service at Grace. Vocal musical talents
grow through an extensive choir program that includes ten
choirs, pre-school through adult, currently involving 450
singers, as well as through small vocal teams used in services.
Instrumental opportunities exist for both classically trained
players in our orchestra program as well as for more contemporary
players in worship teams used regularly junior high through
adult. Even handbell choirs exist for both beginner and advance.
Support ministries in worship include ushering and greeting
as well as communion preparation and serving. The technical
side of ministry (sound, lights, projection, etc.) is overseen
by our communications department.
In addition to our weekly services, the worship ministries
present a series of annual Christmas outreach concerts yearly
in December as well as special musical services surrounding
Easter week. Most of our musical groups have gone out to minister
at other churches and outside venues. Our junior high and
high school/college choirs tour in the spring to develop a
heart for music evangelism in our youth as well. God is doing
great things through the Grace Baptist worship ministries,
and we look forward to being used for His glory until He comes.
