Athletes in Action

The Buchanans, pictured with their children Christopher, Emily, and Johnny, serve with Athletes in Action, the sports ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. AIA exists to boldly proclaim the love and truth of Jesus Christ to those uniquely impacted by sport worldwide. Mike is the Western Regional Director of Campus Ministries for AIA. He oversees six full-time staffed campuses (UCLA, USC, SDSU, UC Irvine, University of Arizona and Arizona State University) along with 30-40 volunteer staffed campuses throughout the 10 Western states. Mike and Alison are active members of Grace, using their gifts to build up the body of Christ here and around the country.

So so thankful!!!

  • For Alison's, Chris', Emily's, Johnny's, and my growth in Christ this year.
  • For the work of the Holy Spirit in the UCLA ministry this year.
  • That Johnny was release from LA Children's hospital the day before Thanksgiving!
  • Alison's HS volleyball team WON the league and she had a great ministry with the girls at Trinity Classical Academy.
  • Mike's Knights of Trinity Classical Academy FB WON League and the only loss was in the semi-finals of CIF playoffs. Our motivation was to glorify God in all we do! So proud of them!
  • For YOU, our partners in minstry!

As our ministry grows at UCLA exponentially, within our HS teams at Trinity Classical Academy and into the local community, we are so thankful for what HE enables us to do because of your partnership. Words cannot express our thankfulness for every prayer, every dollar given to support what we are doing to further the kingdom of God. It is with that, that I ask you to consider helping with our end of the year needs. We have accumulated a pile of medicalbills (due to Johnny’s two hospital stays this year) along with short paychecks recently-­-we need to raise over $8000 to cover it all. God knows the exact amount we need and we will trust Him for that.
