Lighting Operator: “LO”

General Responsibilities:

Operate lighting board and computer for services. Assist Technical Directors in aiming and focusing fixtures as needed for services.

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the LO is controlling the lighting systems used for services. The Technical Director will program standard presets, however, because of the nature of how a service can change a basic knowledge of software and the control surface is necessary. He/she will also be responsible to assist the Technical Director in the lighting catwalks in the event that a fixture needs to be re-adjusted or focused. The LO is responsible to the SD.
