What a Great Day to Receive ...
“The Gift of a Lifetime!”

The glorious character of the living God is revealed in His creation, but most powerfully seen in Jesus Christ, God's Son. Jesus taught that the perfection of God, His Father, is beyond the reach of any human being because of our sin. Even though our rebellious, selfish nature deserves death, God, in love, reaches down to us and gives eternal life through one’s faith in the life and work of Jesus Christ. (1 John 5:11 and John 3:16)

When we humbly recognize and admit our sins, believe that the Lord Jesus was punished for the forgiveness of our sin, and turn away from our sin in repentance to begin following God in our lives, then Jesus' death and resurrection secures eternal life for anyone who believes. Rejecting God's gift is a choice that only leads to futility, condemnation, and eternal punishment. If you desire to follow Jesus as Savior and Lord of your life and to receive His forgiveness for your sins, no matter what youhave done, you can invite His life-changing Spirit into your life right now by praying something like the following:

Father in heaven, I know that I am a sinner and that I need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died in my place to pay the penalty for my sin and that He rose from the dead. I receive your free gift of eternal life through my faith and trust in Jesus alone. I receive Jesus as my Savior and my Lord over every area of my life. Thank you for making me Your child. I love You and seek to follow You according to Your Word (the Bible). I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you prayed this prayer or have questions regarding putting your trust in Jesus, we would love to encourage you in understanding what it means to have new life inChrist! Please ask an usher, pastor, or call the church at 296-8737 and we will be honored to help you.
