Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

The opportunity to give is provided by God and is really for our own benefit. We know from the Bible that our giving should be marked by generosity, not out of obligation but in recognition that it is God's and we are merely acting as stewards of what He provides. As we give our priorities are reshaped as we become more aligned with His heart. As you may know, there is great joy in giving and joining the Lord in his work, it moves us to release one of the things we hold so tightly, our money.

As we trust the Lord to provide and stand firm in our commitment to not spend more than we receive, we are dependent on the faithful, sacrificial gifts of God's people at Grace. Some have been asking about giving electronically, as many of us pay bills electronically. While we are working toward an online giving option we have not made that available at this point but it is very easy to include Grace in your regular bill paying routine. Depending on your bank the process may vary but is basically . . .

• designate an amount to give
• specify a date for the payment to be sent

Your bank will take care of getting the amount to Grace and may even allow you to establish a recurring payment.
