Spiritual Care
Spiritual Care is providing biblically based
spiritual guidance (one-on-one conversations) to individuals
for the purpose of healing, restoration, and living lives
honoring to God. Spiritual Care is a context where
individuals can address life’s challenging issues
with another individual in an environment where they
will be heard.
Care Staff
The Care Staff is a team of 5-6 individuals who are available
to provide spiritual guidance to those in need. They will
meet several times with an individual, and if needed, refer
them to additional help. Availability of this ministry is
coordinated through the Care Ministries Office.
Care Circle
A group of approximately 30 individuals who care for those
confined to their homes; those who have experienced a death
in the family; correspondence to the ill and hospitalized,
and related needs. Monthly visits made by teams of two. Taped
sermons are mailed as requested. Two times a year those shut-ins
are invited and transported if needed to a luncheon hosted
by the Care Circle. Christmas baskets are put together and
delivered each year. Regular meetings are held every other
month for updates.
Friends In Need
This ministry coordinates the distribution of gifts,
food and funds to needy Grace families, primarily during the
holidays. Items are made available through donations.
Hospital Visitation
These individuals assist the Care Pastor in visiting people
who are hospitalized, or have just recently been in the hospital,
as well visits may continue after the individual is home if
needed.
Minute Men
This ministry is provided primarily, but not exclusively,
to single moms and widows. The Minute Men perform a variety
of labor tasks at no charge (including household, auto repairs
and help with moving). The Care Fund is frequently used to
support this ministry. There are about 40 individuals who
assist. Quarterly meetings are held for training and sharing
ministry testimonies.
Pantry Ministry
Volunteers from this ministry deliver food and related items
to needy families every other weekend.
The Pantry Ministry team provides Open Food Pantry Days to
families in need two times each year. Training in personal
money management is offered to those with ongoing need for
Pantry food. The Pantry's cupboards are kept supplied with
groceries dropped off at Grace each week by the Grace family,
monthly funds from our Care budget, and produce and perishable
food provided by Children's Hunger Fund.
We make deliveries every 1st & 3rd Saturday of the
month however, due to some delivery dates happening on
a holiday weekend those dates may change.
