What is give up your spot?

God is blessing Grace with new faces and if you're here on Sunday morning you know parking can be very tight. So out of a desire to be good hosts we are asking those who are able to Give Up Your Spot on Sunday morning. We're hoping to move 80-100 cars out of primary lots and the driveways to outlying parking areas. These outlying areas are first the dirt lot about half way up the west driveway and then the two upper lots on each side of the amphitheater. These three areas will accommodate nearly 200 cars and allow for much needed space nearer the buildings.

If you are physically able please join our church staff, pastors and elders in parking in one of the outlying lots. Some have already expressed a desire to sacrifice for someone coming to Grace for the first time, so come, join us on Sunday morning and Give Up Your Spot! Check out the video introduction for Give Up Your Spot!

What is Arise & Build?

Launched nearly two decades ago Arise & Build is the process Grace has used to fund campus construction projects. Arise & Build provides an opportunity for all who call Grace their home to participate financially as God leads. The goal has never been equal gifts but rather equal sacrifice above and beyond normal giving as each person seeks God’s leading. Arise & Build is not first about construction, it is all about seeking God’s will for Grace in Santa Clarita and then providing the physical resources to allow vision to become reality. We believe that our message is one that needs to be heard and our community will be a better place as we are able to provide opportunities for people to meet Jesus through Grace.

The Elders and Pastors of Grace are asking each individual and family to pray and see how God might lead you to regularly participate in Arise & Build. We recognize these are challenging times for many and we will pray that God will give you peace as you seek to follow His lead. To participate in Arise & Build please designate a portion over and above your normal offering to Arise & Build by noting in the memo on your check or using an envelop from the pew pockets. As we follow where we believe God is leading, join with the Grace family in prayer for the process and consider what your active participation in Arise & Build might involve.

What is the current project we are pursuing?

-Our Sunday morning opportunities are impacted due to limited parking. On a typical Sunday morning the Worship Center has room for 900 more people but we have no available parking

- The Elders have approved a plan to build two parking decks (see red arrows on map below)
- The project also includes required storm water control and street & curb improvements
- Over 300 new stalls, up from 667
- Allows 50% growth in weekend services

How will we pay for this project?

Projected cost around $4.4 million
- Nearly $900,000 is mandated street improvements on Copperhill Drive
- Approximately $1.9 million is for parking construction
- Approximately $1.6 million is for site improvements including; grading, utilities, landscaping, etc.

- $2.5 million already in savings designated for construction.
- Grace Family has approved a $2 million line of credit to insure cash flow won’t hinder construction
- Grace leadership is asking all who call Grace their home to consider how they might participate in the financial support of Arise & Build, over and above their normal giving.
